SurfKit Mobile Server

carrier-grade update services for mobile applications

Installing an application to a mobile device should not be the end goal for an operator or service provider, it should be the beginning. Clearly to keep applications relevant to the end user, operators need mechanisms to provide regular updates to content, to services, indeed to the structure of the application itself.

SurfKitchen’s Mobile Server provides operators with the tools to manage updates, all the way from content ingestion through to delivery to the handset. The powerful SurfKit Server has the ability to distribute the correct content to individual users. The server manages the collation of content (according to schedules or real-time) and uses SurfKitchen’s patented SurfSync technology to deliver the content to the handsets.

The Mobile Server integrates into the operator’s existing systems, such as billing platforms, customer profile and content systems. Based on customer’s segmentation information, and their subscriptions, the server then determines the appropriate information that needs to be delivered to the mobile device.
